In the central administration, he served as Senior Assistant Secretary in Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Ministry of Women and Child Affairs and as Deputy Secretary in Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock. He also served with distinction in the Ministry of Defense as Joint Secretary and Additional Secretary.Mr. Jebunnecha Karim is a 10th batch officer of BCS administration cadre. He joined Bangladesh Civil Service in 1991. As an efficient and responsible officer, he has proven success in working in various positions at various times. In field administration, he served as Assistant Commissioner and Magistrate in Narayanganj and Dhaka districts and as Senior Assistant Commissioner and First Class Magistrate in Khulna, Jessore, Natore, Rajshahi districts.Mr. Zebunnecha Karim joined the post of Director General of Directorate General of National Savings under Internal Resources Department on March 14, 2023. Before joining this post, he was working as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Labor and Employment from 6 January 2021 to 13 March 2023. He was born in Bhairab Upazila of Kishoreganj District.
He obtained his Master's Degree with Honors in International Relations from Dhaka University. Later, he obtained an MSc degree in International Business and Management from UK. He received training from University of Manchester in UK in 2010 under MATT-2, Stage-2. He also completed Advanced Security course in 2018 from APCSS located in Hawaii, USA.
He has also participated in various trainings, seminars, workshops as part of government work in Australia, India, Bhutan, Thailand, Indonesia, China, Denmark, UK, USA, France, Germany, Switzerland.
He served as a Director on the Board of Directors of Bangladesh Satellite Company Limited (BSCL), as a Director on the Board of Directors of Pravasi Kalyan Bank and as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Rana Plaza.In personal life she is married and mother of one daughter.Deputy Director
